Lords is a superb and charming period building set over two floors, steeped in history and with its own staggering charm and individuality.

The stable building forms part of the original estate and is surrounded by historic outbuildings buildings which adds to the historic charm. The double height entrance hall gives access to superb and spacious accommodation which is wonderfully flexible and split over two floors with the main reception room and open plan bespoke fitted kitchen dining room occupying the first floor with galleried and original beamed ceiling and featuring a superb double height picture window over the pond and gardens, log burning stove and separate study/reading area, this room is a real gem and takes full advantage of the historic feel and nature of the stable conversion. There is an additional ground floor reception room again with log burning stove. There are four spacious double bedrooms, split over the two floors, with the principal bedroom incorporating an en-suite bathroom and private balcony, perfect for taking lazy breakfasts. The property is set back from the road behind a large private gate with cattle grid and is screened with trees, bushes and hedges. There is of street parking for several vehicles and an external storage shed for bikes etc.

OUTSIDE:

Along with the house itself an extra dimension to the let and a real jewel is its extensive plot and beautiful gardens which extends over 5 acres and has many different landscaped and themed sections including a Victorian style period walled garden, wonderful croquet lawn, well stocked and kitchen garden, wild area perfect for the local wildlife to enjoy and many other areas which are all beautifully tended by the gardener, who will remain in attendance as part of the let. Given the nature of the building and grounds we do not feel the let would be suitable for families with young children. The property is on private drainage and all other services are mains connected.

SITUATION:

Lords is conveniently located on the Ashford Road which is in the lovely village of Sheldwich yet conveniently located just outside Faversham.

The charming village of Sheldwich has a very well-regarded primary school, the beautiful Grade ll listed Church of St James and several fine period buildings including the Grade l listed Lees Court.

The market town of Faversham is just three miles away and offers a wide variety of shopping facilities including both specialist shops and national retailers. There is also a bustling market three times a week, a cinema, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and even a cottage hospital.
The town has a good selection of schools, including the renowned Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, whilst a good selection of private schools can be found in either Canterbury or Ashford. A mainline railway station offers a regular service to London Victoria and Cannon Street and a high-speed service to London St Pancras. There is an alternative High-Speed train from Ashford, via Ebbsfleet, also to London St. Pancras.

The A2/M2 motorway network is within one mile offering good access to London and the coast, as well as the cathedral city of Canterbury (eleven miles) which again offers an excellent choice of shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities, a theatre, and has a good range of both private and state schools and three universities.
