About Faversham

Faversham is located an hour from London and is the oldest market town in Kent. Rich in history, the town largely consists of period and listed buildings. There is a wide variation of properties in Faversham, in the town centre you will predominantly find Medieval and Victorian properties, on the outskirts there is a mix of properties available, from period properties to modern, brand new homes.

With the countryside on your doorstep in one direction and the sea in the other, it is easy to see the alluring appeal of Faversham. Surrounding Faversham are quaint villages including Selling, Sheldwich, Hernhill and Boughton-under-Blean.

Faversham is not short of pubs and is home to Britain’s oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame. Offering tours and tastings the brewery has been producing beer and ales for over 850 years. To celebrate Faversham’s Hop Heritage the town hosts an annual weekend long Hop Festival with street performers, live music, a funfair and more.

On the outskirts of Faversham is Brogdale Farm, home to the national fruit collection, where seasonal events and festivals are held. From spring to autumn, enjoy guided or self-guided walks through the orchards.

People living in and around Faversham can enjoy open coastal walks from Faversham Creek which joins the Saxon Shore Way leading to the seaside town Whitstable. Take in the beautiful scenery, the boatyards and even beach huts. In another direction, enjoy countryside walks and trails.
